Gallaghers Gym - A Boxing Film

This is an inside look into the world of Joe Gallagher who many describe as the best professional boxing trainer in Britain - and his stable of talented fighters.

No script, no re-takes, just real life inside one of the most successful gyms in British boxing history.

It's obviously inspired by the brilliant 24/7 by HBO and Showtime's excellent FightCamp360 but I didn't want to make it about a particular fight - I wanted to show the life of a professional boxer and trainer. The dedication, the hard work and the level of commitment required to do it. It doesn't matter if it's Christmas of a Birthday, they train twice a week almost every single day.

Joe and his fighters made me feel welcome and at home. They just got on with their job as if I wasn't there, and for a film maker that's all I can ask for.
